Ever Wondered about
Grafica’s Story?

Wonder no more…

Grafica is just as much about the Brooks family evolution as it is about our business. With ideas floating about everywhere, it’s no wonder we often think outside the box…

1994

In a small town in France, Angoulême, during the International Comics Festival, Liz and Brad became an ‘item’.

Four years later, in August 1998, they became Mr & Mrs Brooks.

1999

Moving on

Brad left his biochemistry job at UCH in Central London to become a freelance designer. Liz was working in Communications

2003

A new arrival (part 1)

Phi (Sophie Rebekah), was born at Ealing Hospital. The creative element chez Brooks got a whole lot bigger!

2004

Working together

Sequential Design was born in Hanwell, West London after Liz decided not to return to the corporate world.

2006

Getting bigger

Sequential Design welcomed a new partner, Wendy.

2008

Worst. Year. Ever.

That’s it, that’s the whole story

2009

The Fallout from 2008

We decided it was fairer to fold Sequential Design and for Wendy set up her own business. Brad went on to create Grafica London and Liz went back into the corporate world.

2010

Leaving London

By the end of 2009, we needed a change of air, so decided to look at a little seaside town called Littlehampton. Lots of people had mentioned it – and we loved it!

So many boxes… and Grafica by the Sea was born – well, you can’t be Grafica London if you’re not in London, can you?

2011

A new arrival (part 2)

The Brooks Family became complete with the arrival of Thalia Hope in December!

2021

A new arrival (part 3)

In anticipation of Phi’s impending student-hood, we relented and gave in to Thalia’s long-standing request for a puppy… Milou, the pampered Poochon, became a feature of the Grafica office as much as the family!
